The amenities available within Quesada have also improved over time, so it is now home to a wide variety of bars, restaurants, shops, and supermarkets, along with several banks, dental clinics, pharmacies, hair salons, newsagents, tobacconists, and a new Medical Center located in the Doña Pepa urbanization. There is also a cultural center that hosts a variety of shows, workshops and exhibitions; and a city hall to support residents with all kinds of local housing / welfare issues and other important paperwork. The Aqua Park is another popular attraction, which opened 30 years ago to become the second largest water park in the country. Covering an area of 21,000 square meters, the park has a selection of slides, swimming pools and sunbathing areas, and is open from the end of May to the end of September.

Golf Resort
One of the things that has really contributed to Quesada being internationally recognized is its prestigious golf course, “Club de Golf Quesada”, which was founded in 1989 by one of the city’s founders, Mr. Justo Quesada. Its proximity to the provincial capital, Alicante, and the bustling city of Torrevieja caused interest in the club to spread rapidly, making it one of the most popular courses in the region. It changed its name to “La Marquesa Golf & Country Club” in 1994, in line with an ambitious Real Estate Project launched by the Quesada Family, which led to the creation of some 15,000 homes in the first instance.

The residential area surrounding the golf course now comprises more than 30,000 properties, as well as a thriving clubhouse and shopping area.
The club has a multicultural representation, with a significant percentage of expats who have helped create a warm and friendly environment. Aside from the glorious fairway, budding golfers have the opportunity to perfect their swing on the green, which is located right in front of the Club House and is completely free. The club is also home to one of the most impressive driving ranges on the Spanish east coast, with an area for long and fast swings with artificial grass (in the covered area) or natural grass, as well as an approach, chipping and bunker area.

Age Concern and the Asociación de Ayuda operate in the area to Support residents with all kinds of problems, from financial problems to health problems, while the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) is also extremely active in the city and works to promote cancer detection and prevention programs, as well as to support patients and their families. Older residents, in particular, will rejoice at their «local» where they can always have a decent chat and find your favorite drink, served just the way you like it. If you like how that sounds, Quesada is your place. However, there are not only pubs, there are several international food venues such as «Don Carlos», «Lizarran», «Patagonian Steak House» and «De Bassus».
Additionally, the traditional towns of Rojales, Benijofar, Guardamar, Los Montesinos and Algorfa are within walking distance, allowing you more freedom to soak up the Spanish culture and relaxed pace of life. Life in Quesada can offer you the best of both worlds and is essentially what you do!
